NDTAC has compiled an events calendar featuring conferences and organizational meetings that address issues in juvenile justice, transition, special education, foster care, and more. We draw our listings from Web sites such as the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), the National Criminal Justice Reference Service, and the National Resource Center on Youth Services — organizations that are committed to serving delinquent, neglected, or at-risk populations. Behind Closed Doors: Preventing, Responding, Investigating, and Prosecuting Sexual Abuse in Juvenile Justice Facilities
December 10 - 12, 2008 | Corpus Christi, Texas


This multi-track seminar will focus on prevention of, responses to, and effective investigation and prosecution of sexual abuse in juvenile facilities. Expected attendants include facility administrators, supervisory personnel, upper and mid-level management, internal investigators, medical and mental health providers, detention and correctional officers, and other professionals who have contact with incarcerated youth.
